Donation Funds

For each fund you wish to donate to, please select a donation tier for the amount you would like to donate.

If you wish to donate a custom amount, select 'Other' for the donation tier, and then enter the amount you would like to donate in the respective input box.

Recurring billing can be selected for certain donations. You can select your recurrence frequency as monthly, quarterly, or annually. If no selection is made, then a one-time payment is processed. I authorize GSA to charge my credit card for the amount and frequency as selected. Prior to each payment an email will be sent informing me that my credit card will be charged for the donation option I selected within the next 5 days. I understand I can make changes or cancel at any time by going to My GSA dashboard or calling the GSA Membership Department at 1.202.842.1275.

BSS Emerging Scholars Fund
$
This fund supports the Society's Behavioral and Social Sciences Section's efforts to support student involvement in GSA, primarily through the provision of awards for emerging scholar travel to the annual scientific meeting.
Gregory S. O’Neill Student Policy Internship
$
The Gerontological Society of America (GSA) has announced the establishment of the Gregory S. O’Neill Student Policy Internship. This new professional development opportunity for emerging scholars in the aging field is named in memory of Greg O’Neill, PhD, a scholar himself and long-time GSA staff member.
GSA Carol Schutz ESPO Fund
$
In honor of a former executive director, this fund assists student members of the Emerging Scholar and Professional Organization to attend the Annual Scientific Meeting.
GSA Schwartz Award Endowment Nursing
$
This endowment supports GSA's Doris Schwartz Gerontological Nursing Award, which is given to a member who has made a sustained contribution to geriatric nursing research. Click on Awards in the Membership menu for further details.
HS Fund

This restricted fund supports Health Science Section efforts to provide awards to emerging scholars to travel to the Annual Scientific Meeting.
Nathan Shock New Investigator Award
$
The Shock New Investigator Award is given annually at GSA's Annual Scientific Meeting to acknowledge a Biological Sciences (BS) member for outstanding contributions to new knowledge about aging through basic biological research. 
SRPP Support Fund
$
Used for SRPP's stated purpose of advancing the social well-being and health of older people through scientific studies and application of knowledge gained through policy and practice.
AGHE Endowment
$
This endowment fund, established in 2005, invests in special programs and projects that further the mission of the Academy for Gerontology in Higher Education (AGHE) to advance gerontology and geriatrics education in academic institutions and to provide leadership and support of gerontology and geriatrics education faculty and students at education institutions. Donations to the endowment are invested to generate interest for AGHE programs.  Up to 75% of annual investment income each year is made available to partially fund projects that support AGHE’s mission and vision; the remainder of annual income is used to build the endowment corpus.

The unrestricted annual fund supports AGHE’s mission and vision through the development of new programs, products, awards, services and membership initiatives. Donations may be used to support participation in the Annual Scientific Meeting by students, trainees, and faculty members affiliated with AGHE; and to support increased student involvement in AGHE through other initiatives such as membership outreach. Donations may support special initiatives with community colleges, and with age-friendly universities and institutions.
